What is a Wellness Concern?
Wellness concerns are issues that negatively impact one’s physical or mental health, such as constant stress, poor eating habits, lack of exercise, and more. In a professional setting, these concerns can affect not only individual well-being but also team dynamics and productivity.
Addressing Wellness Concerns
- Open Dialogue: Create a safe space free of judgment, enabling the expression of needs, wants, challenges, or concerns.
- Identify the Issue: Understand the root cause of the problem. It could be sleep deprivation, unhealthy eating, stress, or overwhelming emotions, among others.
- Communicate: Reach out for feedback within the group or contact the wellness coordinator for private consultation.
When and How to Escalate Wellness Concerns
- When to Escalate: When an issue becomes persistent and severe, especially if it has potential long-term health impacts or affects team morale.
- How to Escalate: Consult privately with the wellness coordinator. Seek professional medical advice for severe issues.
